If you own a business online and have promised yourself time and again that you would start adding blog content to your blog or website, and still have not done this, then, we suggest that you keep right on reading. There are many of you out there and doing nothing will not bring targeted traffic to your site, nor guarantee conversions to sales. There is only one way to make sure that both of these actions take place, and that is actually to take action!

The horrible truth of the matter is that very few people who are busy with running a business online have time to write their own blog content. A very necessary evil or good thing, depending on how you actually look at it. Today it has been irrevocable proven that integrating regularly changing, current content to weblogs and websites actually is the bomb. It lights a fire under the virtual bum of your business, and not having or doing this, could be the one single thing that is standing in the way of stupendous success.

Always remember that procrastination is the thief of time!

Managing multiple blogs can place a huge amount of stress on the time and bottom line of the site or blog originator. Sad really when this simple tool works so well to leverage marketing results. Daily updates can be managed by automate blog content software applications, and although this does not replace good writers in their entirety, the cost of this type of technology is incredibly attractive for the type job that it does. It is a very flexible option for originators, and will work for both single and multiple blogs and/or websites.

These are content generators, they are obviously automatic, and they update blog material from RSS fed facts. This takes place with little input from the administrator or manager of the website. It is ‘user-defined’ and kept up-to-date with key-word parameters that are set by the manager; this makes it both flexible and simple to use – guaranteed to hit the marketing sweet-spot.

The marketing sweet-spot is targeted audience visits to the business’ website, back links conversion to sales, audience participation, feedback, and other compliant goodies that are search engine driven.

There are many different version of software that can be used to integrate blog content, and most are managed with an internet connection, from any remote location. Software does not need to be downloaded to a PC or Laptop and this makes it far simpler to manage. In fact, there is no more effective marketing tool that is so simple to use. Marketing budgets are all different, and the one beauty about blog content software that is automated is that it is really cheap. But remember, you get what you pay for, and this tenet applies to this product too.

By Kenneth Middleton

We cannot stress sufficiently how important it is as a marketing leveraging tool, to make good use of a blog and add regularly changing, relevant content. The problem is that it’s so time consuming to have to write this when you are kept so busy with everything else involving your business, and hiring a writer or writers can work out to be an immense expense. Automate content and you will not regret making this choice.

When a blog is originated and then allowed to die, just like a bunch of Valentine’s Day roses – dead is dead. You can’t breathe new life into the roses, and it is pretty much impossible to breathe any new life into a dead blog. So, what do you end up with? Why…a dead blog of course! Blogs have to have life breathed into them every single day, then – unlike roses – they will actually continue to live, thrive and breathe. They will also work hard for you too.

A blog is a fabulous marketing tool, and despite the fact that measurables are not all that clear for marketers as yet; one thing has been proven time after time, and that is that ‘blogging’ works, and works like a dream. It is a cost effective marketing tool even when writers are used, but every marketing budget is different, and this is why we are going to discuss automate content.

This is what is says it is – content that is automated by the technological miracle of software programming. This miracle software allows the blog originator to get on with what he or she is meant to do, and that is manage their business.

Currently, and for a good long while now, the climate in auto-blogging has been tense to say the least. With the purist blogger going so far as to accuse auto-blog users of basically spamming. In fact users were even given a derogatory name and called ‘sploggers’, get it…? Spam…bloggers…

The way we think about it however, is that this is not spamming or stealing content, it’s really about adding value. The software takes the content and then adds value for the original creators.

This has been effectively achieved by the addition of various innovative features, so automate content now respects content ownership, while at the same time meeting the guidelines for quality that is demanded by search engines today. Small excerpts of the content can be created when the software grabs the information from the RSS feed, even if that feed contains complete articles.

The originator sets the parameters and selections are based on various words, sentences and paragraphs, which generally make for fair use. An acceptable extraction is then created that won’t violate copyrights or create other copyright issues. Automat content now let’s you choose and be choosy too.

At one point in time SEO blogging software was given a really hard time; today this software is so highly developed that it is able to give credit wherever credit is due. Let us explain this a little further.

SEO blogging software basically takes already existing content and/or even images and uses them to create automated content for refreshing your own blog with similar content. Some content owners get freaked out about this and don’t like the fact that automate blogs make these copies, they want something different to be used so that no copyright infringement exists. We are talking about plagiarism here.

We also have to remember, that all writers get their ideas from other writers, unless what they are writing about is autobiographical. However, that having been said, technology has advanced to such a degree for SEO blogging software, that attribution can even be given to credit to the content owners, and it can be important to them for the software do this. What most content owners don’t realise is that when an excerpt is grabbed by the software from the RSS feed, it actually points to the original content and creates a valuable link. So, credit is being given, where the credit is due.

Anyone who has link-building experience knows that this is a good thing. It is a simple matter to build generic back-links to a website homepage. The difficulty lies in building deep links from home or other pages which contain applicable content and keywords. Where this is possible, SEO software can connect the dots and create the deep links, so, it will include tags and targeted categories from the original author when adding the post. This supplements attribution to the original website and the software has other ways of doing this too.

It may be able to extract the description, source name, logos, author, links and even copyright details. It offers HTTP retrieval customization for referrer and user agent, identifies aggregators, sets RSS cache times, and adds blacklist to exclude certain authors. Some writers or bloggers just don’t care about those valuable back links or deep links, and don’t want your blog to use any of their content, so, exclusion is viable too. Without going into too much detail, there is also much more that can be done to benefit original sources.

Obviously the designers of SEO Blogging software have had a number of years to iron out the creases and tweak programmes to be more user friendly, but also to get rid of their ‘spammy’ reputation, and create programmes that do add value. The only thing that really needs to be overcome is the mindsets in certain circles regarding this software. At no point in time does is claim to be a be all and end all for bloggers, but it does claim to be a valuable marketing tool, and quite rightly too.

While website content software is designed for ease of use, and is an incredibly useful tool to achieve marketing leverage, there are certain ways to use this software, and therefore also common mistakes that are made by both new and old users. We will just take a look at a few common mistakes to give you the opportunity to see what it is that you shouldn’t do.

The first and biggest mistake is copying the entire Internet!

The World-Wide-Web is über-massive, it is so large and so filled with content that it is hard to measure where it all begins and ends. New content is being uploaded every day in the thousands if not in the millions, and the single most stupid mistake noobies make is the desire to copy too much content too soon. It is understandable that they want do this in their enthusiasm, and the hopes of driving mega-targeted traffic to their sites.

This strategy never lasts. The site becomes a massive ‘red-flag’ for search engines and they leave it alone, firm in the belief that the site is growing inorganically – too big, way too fast! Too much content also dilutes keyword focus, and will not rank any site high in any particular niche. In other words it literally gets lost in a maelstrom of words. The best strategy to use is to grow a specialised targeted niche; nice and slowly over some time. Website content software and WordPress are designed to do this for you.

Copying complete articles is another big mistake; for the short term this may work to drive targeted traffic to a website, but there are copyright infringements to take into consideration. Keep on doing this and other writers may get really annoyed; take you to court, or even worse, report you to Google as being spammy.

That will put paid to any progress, and a DMCA notice to your webhost is not a pleasant thing to have to deal with. If a content author tells you to cease and desist, better make sure you do this, or better still, only copy experts of articles. Your website content software is designed to help you with this. Short excerpts are considered to be ‘fair use’. It is how you aggregate content that makes it useful to your web site or blog, not taking the complete article and plagiarising it.

Content spinning is a very amateurish mistake, and one of the biggest that anyone can make. It rarely results in completely organic content, and humans – the people reading your articles – are able to spot this quite easily. Most will leave your site in disgust, never to return again. They will not be lingering long enough to become a part of your targeted audience.

Also try to prevent offering content that is not useful, not giving credit where this is due, being dishonest, and not thinking of long term quality as well as ignoring design.

By Kenneth Middleton

If you are still questioning yourself; “to blog or not to blog”, it is also time to ask yourself a very important question – “could your online business be doing better?” If the answer to this question is “yes”, then, this definitely answers the question. Using blog content has proven to be a big bore marketing tool, but the big problem is, it is also a big bore writing blogs too.

This is a very time consuming project; content needs to be updated every day, and if you have heard that as a marketing tool the blog is overrated, this type of statement is only put out by marketers who are more than likely your competitors. The unassuming blog is not going to die an ignominious death any time soon, it is not overrated, and it does provide immense commercial exposure to a largely targeted market. There is tons of evidence online, of huge success in business from the use of simple blog content tactics.

It has become essential for bloggers to keep content fresh and informative because search engine algorithms demand this. They are seeking out organic content, so, the better the information in the blog comes across, essentially, the more attention it attracts. The more attention it receives from search engines, the more attention it automatically receives from potentially targeted visitors. The raw power of a good blog which is kept eternally fresh can never be underestimated.

The online marketer is by the nature of the expanse of the internet, exposed to a global marketplace – it’s like shopping without borders. So, there are millions of websites on the WWW! For your little website to be noticed amongst millions, it has to be made noticeable; good blog content is one of the cheapest and most efficient ways of bringing your product to the attention of the world. Maximizing the potential of this exposure makes both good commercial and financial sense.

Keeping content fresh and useful is huge bore for many weblog originators, but has proven to be a marketing maniac. It is like using a very large gun to fire at a very large target – nuclear marketing war if you like, so, the effort has to be made. To help the marketer split the blogging atom, automated content can be used to save both time and money as well as beef up exposure. This is perhaps fodder for another article, but will give you food for thought in the meantime.

Remember the more blogs you have on the WWW, the more commercial exposure this means, but only at considerable time and expense. Management can become a headache without any help from outside agencies, but continuity can be maintained with the right help and there are various options available.
